REPORT: Clippers Rookie Jason Preston ‘Expected’ to Miss Part of Season After Foot Surgery

The Los Angeles Clippers injury woes continued this week when it was announced that rookie Jason Preston had surgery on his right foot this week according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Preston injured his foot in a “workout prior to the team opening its training camp,” per ESPN. Preston impressed during Summer League with averages of 9 points and 4.8 assists a game. His passing and playmaking ability was enough to garner him a three-year contract with the Clippers, with two years guaranteed.

He was originally drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 33rd pick out of Ohio University before being traded to the Clippers. His final season raised eyebrows, where he averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists last season.

The Los Angeles Clippers start their regular season on the road October 21st against the Golden State Warriors.
