REPORT: Damian Lillard Expected to Ink Max Extension

Damian Lillard has reportedly inked a two-year max deal, per NBA insider Shams Charania.

According to Charania, the deal will ensure Dame Time lasts five years. Lillard’s extension also means that he is one of the top earners in NBA history, as he is estimated to make $451 million in career earnings.

Lillard has spent his entire career in Portland and ranks third all-time in points scored and second for minutes played. Lillard has averaged 24.6 points and 6.6 assists per game for his career. Last season, Lillard put up 24.0 points and 7.3 assists per game in 29 games before the franchise shut him down due to an abdominal injury.

The 2021-22 season was the first time Portland missed the playoffs since 2013.
