Report: Jeremy Lin to Participate in All-Star ‘Shooting Stars’ Competition

The Shooting Stars competition is one of the least-watchable events during NBA All-Star Weekend, but … Jeremy Lin! Maybe! Reports the NY Daily News: “How can you have an All-Star Weekend without the biggest story of the NBA season? That is a question the league is asking and it looks as if Jeremy Lin will make it to Orlando next weekend. According to a source, the NBA is hoping to add Lin to its All-Star lineup by having him participate in the Haier Shooting Stars competition during All-Star Saturday night. The competition features one current NBA player, one current WNBA player and one TNT on-air talent and legend on each team. […] Lin was not chosen to participate in the game featuring the league’s top first and second year players. However, if any player picked for the game can’t participate due to injury Lin could get the call.”
