REPORT: Zion Williamson Expected to Miss Multiple Weeks with Hamstring Injury

Zion Williamson is reportedly set to miss multiple weeks of games due to a hamstring strain, per NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Williamson suffered his hamstring injury on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He left the game and didn’t return after he pulled up and grabbed his right leg while rumbling down the court. An MRI on Tuesday confirmed the severity of Williamson’s injury, according to Woj.

This multiple-week absence will be the first time the Pelicans will miss Williamson for an extended amount of time. New Orleans (23-14) is a game back of first place, behind the Nuggets (24-13) and second-lace Memphis Grizzlies (23-13).

Williamson is averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game on 60.8 percent shooting from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc.
