Russell Westbrook: ‘About Time’ Victor Oladipo Dunked on Someone

Victor Oladipo soared high above Dwight Howard for arguably the dunk of the year so far Monday night, and teammate Russell Westbrook reacted with hilarious impatience.

Russ doesn’t know what took the hyper-athletic Oladipo so long to put someone on a poster this season.

Led by Westbrook’s sixth consecutive triple-double, the OKC Thunder beat the Atlanta Hawks 102-99 for their sixth win in a row.

Per The Oklahoman:

Oladipo needs to do more of this – pump fake and drive. Not just because it’ll open up shots for his teammates on the perimeter, but these types of Dominique Wilkins-esque dunks (he’s clearly capable of) energize the Thunder.

Westbrook said it himself in postgame: “About time. I told him about time he dunked on somebody. He got all that athleticism and ain’t dunked on nobody yet. Finally. Finally.”
