Sixers Ink Louis Williams for the Long-Term

by Marcel Mutoni

Philly’s busy summer continues, as they have come to terms with their promising 22-year old guard, Louis Williams.

Sorry, Cleveland.

The deal is for five years, but the financials have yet to be released.

“It’s a good deal for Louis,” Merle Scott, Williams’ agent, told the Daily News. “It gives him a chance to grow with a team that’s building and allows him to stay with the team he came into the league with.”

Williams saw his scoring average nearly triple last season, and had a solid Playoff series against the Detroit Pistons.

Philly fans can kick back and relax for now, well, at least until Iguodala’s contract becomes an issue again.
