Fifteen years ago to this date, Vince Carter pulled off the greatest in-game dunk of all-time, instantly launching him into superstardom.

The jam, an unbelievable leap over Frédéric Weis’ head during the 2000 Olympics, marked the start of a years-long nightmare for the 7-foot-2 giant—the big fella never played in the NBA despite being drafted by the New York Knicks, and now runs a tobacco store in Limoges, France.

Carter, if given the chance to talk to Weis today, says he would basically apologize.
