Worthy of Your Attention

Milwaukee @ Cleveland: Mo Williams says there’s nothing but love between him and his former team, who incidentally, is visiting Cleveland tonight.

”All of my memories there are great. The organization’s been nothing but great to me,” Williams said. ”I have nothing but respect for the organization. They gave me my contract, and you never bite the hand that feeds [you].”

According to my spider-sense, however, Mo will have a rather big night despite his claims.

Utah @ Philly: Mehmet Okur had to bolt out of the country yesterday and attend to an urgent family matter back home in Turkey. Here’s to hoping that everything is fine with the smooth-shooting Mehmet.

That sound you hear? It’s the sound of the Sixers’ bandwagon coming to a screeching halt. Yes, of course it’s early in the season, but last in the division (sharing that dubious honor with the Nets) is never a good look. Time to get it together, gentlemen.

Atlanta @ Chicago: The Hawks are undefeated. The Hawks are undefeated. The Hawks are undefeated…Nope, still doesn’t seem right, does it?

I’m kidding, of course, the Atlanta Hawks have been terrific so far this season. But now, without the services of Mr. Do-it-all Josh Smith, the task just got that much harder for the young ATLiens.

LA Lakers @ Dallas: Speaking of undefeated, the Lakeshow will look to improve their record to 6-0, as they pay a visit to Dirk and ’em. Nowitzki sent a not-so-subtle message to his teammates to pick their games up, and there would be no better time to answer their leader’s call than tonight.
