Basketball Career Conference to be Held in Las Vegas During NBA Summer League


For those of you looking to hit Las Vegas for the NBA’s annual Summer League, be sure to check out this basketball career conference, which will be held on July 19 and 20 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. From our friends at Sports Management Worldwide:

Sports Management Worldwide will be hosting their annual Basketball Career Conference at the 2013 Vegas Summer League Games, July 19 and 20 in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus.

Attendees will have a chance to network with some of the top basketball executives as they share their wisdom of how to get ahead in the sports business.  The conference can count for college credit for students interested in attending.

Admission to the conference comes with a free ticket to all Summer League games on Saturday, July 20. See eight NBA teams play in one day!

The conference is a chance to gain valuable insight into a variety of careers in the basketball industry, as well as sports in general. This year’s conference will host some of the business of basketball’s greatest minds as they discuss the behind the scenes marketing, management, athlete representation, scouting, player personnel, media and broadcasting, and sports career strategies of the basketball business.

Registration fees vary from $200-300 depending on when registration occurs.
