Cavaliers Guard Daniel Gibson Out For Season

Cleveland shooting guard Daniel “Boobie” Gibson is out for the remainder of this season due to a torn tendon in his foot, according to a report from Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio. Amico has the story: “A torn tendon in his right foot will sideline Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson for the rest of the season, team officials announced Tuesday. Gibson injured his ankle March 19 in a game at New Jersey. Initial X-rays were negative, but according to a release from the team, “He received treatment during the remainder of the Cavaliers’ road trip to Atlanta and Orlando. After returning to Cleveland, his ankle had not progressed as expected.” Gibson then had another MRI, which revealed a torn tendon in his right foot and ankle, according to the Cavs. Gibson, 26, is in his sixth pro season, all in Cleveland. He also missed time earlier this season with a mysterious neck infection. He averaged 7.5 points in 35 games this year.”
