Bradley Beal: ‘I Want To Shoot Deeper Threes’

After being second in the NBA in scoring last season, Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards is working on extending his range. While he’s already nearly impossible to defend, he will only continue to punish defenses next season.

Beal was recently asked what he’s been working on during the offseason, going more in depth on his shooting.

“Deeper threes. I’m not trying to compete with Dame [Lillard], I’m not Logo Lillard. But I want to shoot deeper threes and shoot more threes,” Beal told Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington.

In what was actually a down year in Beal’s terms from deep, he shot just 34.9 percent from three.

“You know I need to shoot more threes. You probably say it all the time,” said Beal. “And, obviously, make them. I have to make them.”

On a new-look Wizards team, Beal will still be the best player. However, he’ll have to get acquainted to all of the new faces on the roster as he looks to score points in bunches.
