Jalen Green Injuries Hamstring, Will Reportedly Undergo MRI

Houston Rockets No. 2 overall pick Jalen Green played as well as advertised in his 2021 NBA Summer League debut.

Green was on his way and to another impressive showing on Thursday, scoring 13 points in 12 minutes before a hamstring injury ended his time playing in the Summer League.

Reports have stated the Toronto game could mark Green’s final appearance in Vegas for precautionary reasons with NBA teams start training camps at the end of September. Tim MacMahon of ESPN reported that despite an upcoming MRI the Rockets don’t believe the injury to be a significant concern.

Jalen Green decided against playing college basketball to play in the G League last year. While he was on the floor, Green went off during NBA Summer League play with 61 points in 72 summer league minutes, shooting 19-of-37 from the floor and 10-of-19 from 3-point range.
