Jazz To Prioritize Bringing Mike Conley Back

Mike Conley was a crucial piece of the Utah Jazz earning the best record in the entire NBA last season at 52-20. While they didn’t have the postseason success they would have liked, it appears they’ll be making a push to re-sign Conley as he enters free agency this summer.

The Athletic’s Tony Jones recently reported that that the Jazz want Conley back and that they will will make every attempt to keep him in Utah moving forward.

Conley just finished up a five-year, $152.6 million contract in the 2020-21 season. While he won’t get paid that much in his next deal at age 33, he’s still an excellent starter in the NBA.

Last season with the Jazz, Conley made his very first NBA All-Star team, averaging 16.2 points and 6.0 assists per contest.

If the Jazz are going to make another playoff run next season, they’ll certainly need a solid point guard like Conley.
