Mark Cuban Expects To Lose Over $100 Million With Arena Protocols

Mark Cuban has been one of the most well known owners in the entire NBA since he purchased the Dallas Mavericks in 2000. With all of the unique protocols the NBA has put in place, restricting fans in arenas and therefore limiting revenue, Cuban expects to lose quite a bit of money in the 2020-21 season.

Cuban was recently interviewed on 96.7 The Ticket, a local Dallas radio station, where he gave more insight into how these protocols will affect him personally.

“Am I going to lose a lot of money this year? Yes. No question about it. More than $100 million when this is all said and done? Yes. No question about it.”

According to Forbes, the Dallas Mavericks are the ninth most valuable NBA franchise at $1.9 billion. Cuban, as well as other owners around the league, will certainly feel the financial implications of the unprecedented events and rules that will take place throughout the 2020-21 NBA season.
