Mavericks, Hornets Among Teams to Pursue Richaun Holmes

One of the most underrated players in the entire NBA is Richaun Holmes, who has always been a quality backup big but is quickly becoming a starting caliber player. This comes at a great time too, as he’s a free agent set to make the largest payday of his entire life.

Holmes recently sat down with Shams Charania of The Athletic, saying he knows he deserves to be a starter in the NBA.

To this point, Holmes has only started 123 of his 331 career games, but did start every game he played in last season with the Sacramento Kings. Averaging 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, he was an extremely productive player who is going to earn every penny he makes this summer on his next deal.

Charania reported the the Charlotte Hornets and Dallas Mavericks are among the many teams who are expected to pursue Holmes in free agency this offseason.

In a free agency class with little center talent, Holmes will be highly sought after on the market.
