Mavs, Wesley Iwundu Agree to Deal

The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a two-year deal with Wesley Iwundu, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports. Iwundu spent the past three seasons with the Orlando Magic.

Iwundu established himself as a defensive-minded, perimeter rotation piece for the Magic and will look to provide similar value with the Mavs.

The 25-year-old, Houston native was a second-round pick in 2017 and averaged 5.8 points per game in 2019-20.

Orlando had the opportunity to extend a qualifying offer to Iwundu and make him a restricted free agent but they opted not to. He’ll sign with Dallas as an unrestricted free agent.
