Minnesota Timberwolves Sign Former First Rounder Leandro Bolmaro

In the 2020 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected guard Leandro Bolmaro with the No. 23 overall pick. Rather than coming over to the NBA immediately, he spent a year overseas playing with Barcelona in Spain.

Now, heading into the 2021-22 season, the Timberwolves have signed Bolmaro to his rookie scale deal, setting the stage for him to begin his first NBA season.

Bolmaro just turned 21 years old earlier this month, but already has quite a bit of professional experience. Last season, he averaged 4.9 points in 13.1 minutes per game overseas. Additionally, Bomaro spent some time with the Argentinian national team at the Tokyo Olympics this summer.

Minnesota has a ton of young talent, with Bolmaro being yet another piece to develop. At 6-foot-7, he’s got great size for a guard.
