Post Up: Reigning Raptors

Raptors 116, Heat 89 (Toronto advances to Eastern Conference Finals)

Kyle Lowry scored 35 points, DeMar DeRozan added 28, and Bismack Biyombo recorded a double-double (17 points, 16 boards) en route to the Raptors’ first ever Eastern Conference Finals berth. The Heat managed to remain competitive throughout much of the game- trailing by only six points at halftime- until the wheels came flying off in the fourth quarter. Miami was outscored 30-11 in the game’s final 12 minutes, leading to an early celebration at the Air Canada Centre.

Whereas the Raptors will go on to face Cleveland in the E.C. Finals (set to begin Tuesday at 8:30 PM ET), the Heat will begin their offseason following a hard fought seven game series. Dwyane Wade’s postseason efforts are not to be forgotten; Father Prime rapidly ascended the NBA all-time postseason scoring list throughout the Semifinals.
