Rajon Rondo, Hawks Agree to Two-Year Deal

The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal with Rajon Rondo, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports. Rondo, an instrumental part of the Lakers’ title run in the bubble, will join a Hawks team eager to compete for the playoffs.

Rondo averaged 7.1 points and 5.0 assists per game during the regular season with Los Angeles but came alive in the postseason as he has a tendency to do.

Rondo will back up Trae Young in Atlanta, serving in the role of battle-tested veteran for a franchise eager to take its rebuild to the next level.

Rondo will join Kris Dunn, who agreed to sign with the Hawks earlier today after not having a qualifying offer extended his way by the Bulls.
