Richaun Holmes Out 2-3 Weeks With Shoulder Injury

The Sacramento Kings will be without breakout center Richaun Holmes for a period of two-to-three weeks, James Ham of NBC Sports reports. The 26-year-old has already missed two games with a shoulder injury.

The results of an MRI, which were revealed Sunday, showed an issue in the shoulder joint of his right arm. The club will now turn elsewhere for production until late January or early February.

In 37 games for the Kings, Holmes has averaged 13.1 points and 8.5 rebounds, proving himself to be quite a bargain after inking a two-year, $10M pact with the young team over the summer.

In the 19 games that Holmes has played at least 30 minutes in, the fifth-year vet is averaging 16.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

The Kings are also without sophomore big man Marvin Bagley III whose season has most recently been interrupted by a foot sprain.
