Trail Blazers Announce Nassir Little Out For Season With Shoulder Issues

The Portland Trail Blazers announced that forward Nassir Little suffered a labral tear in his left shoulder. The Blazers have no timetable for his return at the moment.

According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Little is likely out for the remainder of the season. On Tuesday, the injury occurred during the fourth quarter of the Blazers’ 109-107 loss to the Timberwolves.

In the 42 games he has played this season; Little averaged a career-high 9.8 points on 46.0 percent shooting, 33.1 percent shooting from downtown, 5.6 rebounds in 25.9 minutes per game. The 21-year-old forward out of UNC averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game on a scorching 15-22 shooting from the field, including 6-9 from beyond the arc. For the month of January, he posted 13.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.

The Blazers (20-28) look to get back on track against the Rockets (14-34) on Friday.
