Wolves in Talks to Acquire Ricky Rubio in Draft Day Trade

The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the process of acquiring Ricky Rubio from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for the No. 17 pick, John Krawczynski of The Athletic reports.

Also headed to Minnesota in the swap would be the No. 25 and No. 28 picks.

The move would reunite Rubio with the Wolves. He played there for six seasons before a trade sent him to the Utah Jazz in 2017. He spent last season with the Phoenix Suns and was involved in the Chris Paul trade earlier this week.

It’s likely that there will need to be more in order for the money to work.

More to come.
