Tyler Herro To Declare For NBA Draft

Kentucky guard Tyler Herro intends to declare for the NBA Draft and gauge what his stock might be ahead of the May withdrawal deadline. The sharp-shooting two-guard announced his decision on Twitter.

Herro will have until May 29th to withdraw his name from the draft while maintaining complete NCAA eligibility. In that case, he says, he would happily return to the Wildcats for a sophomore campaign.

Herro may be happy with what he hears from NBA scouts, the 19-year-old currently sits in the No. 14 spot on Tankathon’s NBA Draft Big Board and boasts a shooting touch that could benefit teams at any level.

Herro shot .355 from beyond the arc and .935 from the free-throw line in his only season at Kentuck thus far, and averaged 14.0 points per game.
