Summer is the best time for pickup sports, especially for kids. As part of the brand’s “Nike Gear Up” campaign for the summer, Nike pays homage to that spirit in a brand new ad dubbed “Short A Guy,” in which one lucky kid experiences the ultimate day of pickup sports—from playing stickball with Major League Baseball MVP Mike Trout to soccer with the legendary Mia Hamm and catching passes from Colts superstar Andrew Luck on the gridiron.
He finishes his wild day with All-NBA big man Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, who delivers the line of the commercial: “Hey, kid, we’re short a guy—wanna play?”
