WATCH: Devin Booker Rookie Season Mixtape

by July 20, 2016

Only three players reached 1,000 points faster in their careers: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Let that marinate for a second…

Devin Booker, at age 19, not only joined elite scoring company during his rookie season, he did it with a 53.5 True Shooting percentage—higher than any of those future Hall of Famers.

So yeah, the 6-6 guard from the University of Kentucky was pretty good during his first NBA campaign.

The only rookie to participate in the Three-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend, Booker made it to the final round with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. While he couldn’t pull off the upset, he solidified himself among the best shooters in the L.

En route to a First-Team All-Rookie selection, D-Book picked up co-signs from Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade, to name a few.

Suffice it to say that the future is bright in the Valley of the Suns.
