For Old Time’s Sake: Latrell Sprewell

SPREEEEEEEEEEEEE. This dude was fierce. His emphatic dunks remind of KMart’s, just more hops. Outside of the choking fiasco and pleading poverty after being offered $21 million, Sprewell had a lot to offer on the basketball court. He was a paralyzing defender, fantastic in the open floor, and a great finisher. He helped lead the Knicks to the Finals in ’99 and was a 4x NBA All Star. His best season statistically was with Golden State in ’96-’97 when he posted averages of 24.2 pts, 6.3 assists, 4.6 rbs, and 1.7 stls. Spree was also a vital part of the And1 NBA crew back in the day. Shout out to Nick for the videos below.
