There was some talk about the Indiana Pacers possibly challenging the Golden State Warriors’ 22-game winning streak Tuesday night, but Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry quickly put an end to all of that nonsense in a 131-123 road win.
The Splash Bros. combined for 68 points in the Dubs’ 23rd straight victory this season.
Dating back to the 2014-15 campaign, the defending NBA champs have now won 27 in a row.

Interim head coach Luke Walton says he’s going to green-light the Warriors’ chase for the NBA’s all-time record winning streak if they get to 30 or 31 in a row. […] But it appears as though his players already have decided to stomp on the accelerator, and on Tuesday, they turned Bankers Life Fieldhouse into an in-team shooting contest for three quarters of a 131-123 victory over the Pacers. The win moved the Warriors into a second-place tie among the league’s all-time winning streaks.
Having won the final four regular-season games of 2014-15 before a record-breaking 23-0 start to this season, the Warriors equalled the 2012-13 Miami Heat’s 27-game winning streak. The 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers hold the record of 33. […] “It’s pretty surreal, especially in this league,” Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson said. “…There’s no end in sight to the streak.”
Stephen Curry played a sensational floor game, dishing out 10 assists to get to 3,000 for his career. He added 29 points, making three three-pointers to match Rashard Lewis with an NBA-record 87 consecutive regular-season road games with at least one three. […] The meeting between conference players of the month lived up to its billing as Indiana forward Paul George had 33 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. He didn’t have nearly as much help as Curry, who orchestrated much of Thompson’s torrid shooting night and also was supported by 14 points (six alley-oops), 10 rebounds and two blocked shots from Andrew Bogut.
