Klay Thompson Hangs 45 Points on Dallas (VIDEO)

Led by Klay Thompson’s season-high 45 points, the Golden State Warriors blew out the visiting Dallas Mavericks 127-107 Wednesday night.

Chandler Parsons paced the Mavs with 23 points.

The Dubs have won five in a row, and remain perfect in their home gym with a 22-0 mark.

Per the SF Chronicle:

“When he hits his first couple, he’s going to get it going,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said of Thompson. “What I was thrilled about tonight was his movement without the ball. He opened up the game, just really cutting, coming hard off of screens and curling. […] “I think all of those layups he got gave him confidence in the jumper — not that he needs much more.”

The Warriors (42-4) tied the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers for the NBA’s best-ever record through 46 games. The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, who went on to win a single-season record 72 games, were 41-5 through 46 games. […] It was the Warriors’ 40th consecutive win in a regular-season home game, which tied the 1995-96 Orlando Magic for the NBA’s second-longest streak and secured a full calendar year without a regular-season loss at Oracle Arena.

The Warriors did not trail during a three-game homestand, making the most of their time in Oakland. They start a three-game road trip in Philadelphia on Saturday and have only two home games in February. […] In preparation for the road slog, none of the Warriors’ starters logged more than 32 minutes. Thompson needed only 32 minutes for the sixth 40-point game of his career, and Stephen Curry put up 14 points and nine assists in 32 minutes.
