SLAM x RTG Features present “A Kid From Coney Island,” a documentary on the life of Stephon Marbury directed by Coodie and Chike and coming to select theaters March 10. Check out the official trailer above.
Follow Starbury’s inspirational road from Coney Island all the way to Beijing. Through in-depth interviews, the film provides a thorough and honest portrayal of that journey, shedding light on both its ups and downs. “A Kid From Coney Island” tracks Marbury’s entire career—his electrifying play for multiple teams, peculiar fall out of the NBA and subsequent rise in China, where he won three championships as a member of the CBA’s Beijing Ducks.
The project was produced by Forest Whitaker and Nina Yang Bongiovi. Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman are EPs.
