Ty Lawson Hits Game-Winning Buzzer-Beater vs. Clippers (VIDEO)

The Nuggets and Clippers opened their respective preseasons last night with an exhibition tilt in Las Vegas, and it certainly didn’t lack for drama, as the game was all tied up with the final seconds of the fourth quarter winding down. That’s when Ty Lawson went to work, driving the lane and sinking the game-winning layup that you can watch above—and here’s a recap, courtesy of ESPN: “Ty Lawson’s driving layup just before the buzzer lifted the Denver Nuggets to a 106-104 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in an exhibition game Saturday night. Kenneth Faried scored 18 points and Jordan Hamilton added 17 for Denver. Lawson finished with eight points. Eric Bledsoe led the Clippers with 25 points, including a reverse layup with 3.1 seconds left that tied it. Blake Griffin, who had surgery on his left knee in the offseason, had six points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes. Chris Paul did not play for Los Angeles.”
