WATCH: LeBron James Leads Cavs Past Utah

LeBron James, using his brute strength and vastly superior athleticism, overwhelmed the Utah Jazz en route to 31 points, 7 rebounds and eight assists Tuesday night.

LBJ, with help from Kevin Love (22 points, 8 boards) and Mo Williams (29 points), led the Cavs to a 118-114 win, their seventh victory in a row.

Love made history, joining Larry Bird as the only players in NBA history to drain at least 600 3-pointers while averaging 10 rebounds a game.

Per the Akron Beacon Journal:

Bird made 649 3s while averaging exactly 10 rebounds in 13 seasons. Love reached 600 3s in about half the time and is averaging 11.8 rebounds for his career. […] “It’s good company,” Love said. “I think that’s the way the game has gone. I grew up watching guys at the 4 position and 5 position who shot the ball from the outside. It’s definitely good company.”

Dirk Nowitzki has made more than 1,500 3s, but has only averaged 7.9 rebounds. LeBron James has made more than 1,200 3s, but has averaged 7.1 rebounds in his career. The more names that are processed, the more guys who fall short of the mark, the more it’s worth admiring what Love has accomplished. It’s truly incredible.

One newcomer to the Cavs locker room Tuesday compared James’ fourth-quarter biceps slap– which he has done previously on similar plays – to (Albert) Belle’s famous dugout flex after a home run in the 1995 playoffs. James did a double take when he heard Belle’s name. […] “Today your first game?” James asked the reporter. When the answer was yes, James smiled and nodded. “Makes sense. I like Albert Belle, but no.”
