WATCH: LeBron James With Near-Triple-Double vs Sixers

LeBron James became the youngest player in NBA history to reach the 25,000-point mark Monday night, in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 107-100 road win over the Philadelphia Sixers.

LeBron fell just one board shy of his first triple-double of the season, pouring in 22 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and handing out 11 dimes.

Kobe Bryant was previously the youngest ever to reach 25K in points.

Per the Akron Beacon Journal:

If he only cared about scoring, how many points could LeBron James average in a season? Thirty? Thirty-five? […] “I think he could average 40,” said James Jones, who knows LeBron better than most.

James reached another incredible milestone Monday night when he became the youngest player to 25,000 points. In truth, he surpassed it a few years ago when factoring in his postseason numbers, but NBA records are based solely on the regular season. He’s the first player to get there at age 30. Kobe Bryant, the man he has been chasing down throughout his career, was 31 years and 151 days when he did it. James is 30 years, 307 days. […] James also broke Bryant’s records at 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000 points. Bryant is still the youngest to get to 30,000, but give it time.

“The No. 1 thing I’ve been able to do is stay healthy, relatively, in my career,” James said. “I’ve been able to play with two great organizations. This organization and the Miami Heat and also play with incredible teammates and coaching staffs that allow me to be the best player I can be every night. This is one of the benefits of it.”
