Brandon Roy Says His ‘Basketball Days are Done’

Brandon Roy’s star-crossed NBA career is probably over. Roy admits that after he was released by the Minnesota Timberwolves, this is likely it for him. Per CSNNW: “Brandon Roy indicated Sunday at a University of Washington alumni game in Seattle that his NBA career is officially over. ‘My basketball days are done, that’s no secret,’ Roy said. Roy said that he will decide his next move this fall. […] Roy returned to basketball after one season off, signing a two-year, $10.4 million contract. He was once against sidelined after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery this past November, expecting to miss only one month of action. Complications kept him off the court for the remainder of the season. Roy averaged 5.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds for the Timberwolves in his five appearances and holds career averages of 18.8 points, 4.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.”
