Gotham Hoops Invitational to Feature Top Men’s College Basketball Seniors

The 2016 Gotham Hoops Invitational is set for this Saturday, allowing the top men’s college basketball seniors to compete against one another and pursue overseas pro opportunities. Read the details below:

The 2016 Gotham Hoops Invitational presented by Overtime has selected its participants for this year’s showcase. The tournament-style event pits 36 Men’s College Seniors against one another, competing before fans and scouts.

 

The 3rd annual showcase will be held at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights on Saturday April 9th and provides an opportunity for players to pursue a professional basketball career overseas. Evaluators from around the world will be in attendance.

 

Tournament tips at 3:00pm with semi-finals, followed by a consolation game. The inaugural Invitational Finals are at 7:30pm. Awards ceremony concludes the event.

 

Doors open at 2:30pm. Tickets are $10 for the general public.

 

Committed players include 2-time Ivy League Player of the Year Justin Sears (Yale), 6-11 Lithuanian standout Laimonas Chatkevicius (South Carolina) and high-flying Canadian Justin Edwards (Kansas State), among others representing NCAA schools.

 

Over the past two years Gotham Hoops Invitational has connected players with teams in 20+ countries. Alumni compete across Europe, Asia and South America.
