Udonis Haslem has opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat and will become a free agent. Haslem, who could have opted-in for $4.6 million for next season, is expected to sign a multi-year contract that would save the Heat some cap space. Per Bleacher Report:

And to be very clear, Haslem is doing this to benefit the Heat (and get a little security), not to leave the Heat.
