Washington Dismisses Nation’s Top Shot-Blocker Robert Upshaw From Program

The college basketball career of one of the best defensive players in America appears to be over. Robert Upshaw, a 7-foot center, was dismissed by the Washington Huskies earlier today after failing multiple drug tests, according to ESPN. The junior led the nation with 4.4 blocks per game for the 14-5 Huskies, and also chipped in 10.9 points and 8.2 rebounds a night. According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Upshaw is considering ending his college career and heading to the NBA’s Developmental League.
