Player of the D.A.Y.

By Sam Rubenstein

We’ve got a heated race today. There are three incredibly deserving players, and two of them are going home empty handed. Going home empty handed is kind of like being a huge loser. So here we go.

Loser #1: Tracy McGrady. Nice that he’s shaken off the concussion cobwebs, but no. Alot of those 31 points came after the game was out of hand, and that was Yao’s work that made it like that.

Loser #2: Elton Brand. Gigantic numbers. 33 and 17 against the defending champs. Carried his team on his back in a tight game. He did nothing wrong. This is his award to win, and nobody else deserved it more.

Except for Steve Nash. Twenty assists, running the Suns offense at max power. 46% from the field and 45% from three. The Suns have now won seven in a row and 9 of 10. Sacramento had no chance.
