Widely regarded as the top grassroots league in the nation, the 2014 Nike EYBL (Elite Youth Basketball League) kicked off during the last week of April in Sacramento (CA), where the top U17 AAU teams across America—and Canada, too—battled it out all weekend long. Among the highly touted recruits in attendance were top class of 2015 prospects Ivan Rabb and Stephen Zimmerman, 2016 stud Jayson Tatum, and freshman sensation (2017) Cody Riley. The EYBL has four regular season-style sessions, with the second one  coming up this weekend in Dallas (TX), then Hampton (VA) the following weekend, and Minnesota (MN) during Memorial Day weekend. From there, the top 24 teams will advance to the Nike Peach Jam tourney in July in South Augusta (GA) for a playoff-style showcase that will crown this year’s Nike EYBL champ. SLAM will have lots more from the EYBL season as it progresses.
