Under Armour is joining forces with Madison Square Garden for a new college basketball event. The inaugural Under Armour “Reunion” will take place on December 12, 2016, featuring a doubleheader of college basketball games in the world’s most famous arena.
The times of the two match-ups are to be determined, but South Carolina will take on Seton Hall in one game while Auburn and Boston College will face off in another. All four programs are Under Armour teams. Additionally, Under Armour will have “a presence at The Garden during regular season college games beginning this fall,” according to a press release.
In a statement, Nick Carparelli—Under Armour’s senior director of college sports—had this to say about the partnership, via the brand’s press release:
“Coming together with Madison Square Garden for the first time as an official partner of college basketball gives us such pride as we continue to elevate our brand presence in the sport. We’re thrilled to be part of delivering all of the upcoming collegiate basketball action at The Garden, and look forward to building a long-standing showcase platform with the ‘Reunion’ for the players, teams and fans alike. ”
