For Old Time’s Sake: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

After reading over Jerry West’s accolades and accomplishments yesterday, you may think it would be hard to find a player with a much better resume. Enter Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA’s All-Time Leading Scorer and….6x NBA Champion, 6x MVP, 2x Finals MVP, Rookie of the Year, 19x All-Star, 10x All-NBA First Team, 5x All-NBA Defensive First Team, 3x NCAA Champion, 3x NCAA MOP (Most Outstanding Player), Naismith College Player of the Year, Hall of Famer, and one of the 50 Greatest Players of All-Time. Kareem is also 3rd all-time in Blocks, 3rd in Rebounds, and 2nd in Games Played. He starred in the league for 20 years, retiring after the ’89 season and has since become a best-selling author, coach, and a great ambassador for the NBA. I could go on and on about UCLA, The Lakeshow, the movies etc. Peep the highlights.
