After missing the Playoffs the past two seasons, the Bucks are currently 8th in the East and fighting for positioning. The 2013 Playoffs will ultimately reveal a lot for the franchise. With Brandon Jennings as a restricted free agent, Monta Ellis with a player option and JJ Redick unrestricted, management will need to decide whether to invest long-term in the dynamic backcourt.

Jennings is averaging a career-high 6.8 assists, while Ellis paces the team with 19.4 points and 2 steals per game. Jennings and Ellis have each experienced the Playoffs once, so the partnership has already been relatively successful considering it will put both in the position to make an impact past the regular season.

As the team prepares for the final stretch, Jennings chatted with SLAMonline about the impact of Larry Sanders, the team’s rejuvenated offense, and what he brings to the balanced backcourt.
