After Saturday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons Guard Brandon Jennings and MSTR Watches hosted a VIP event at Lucky Strike Lanes inside L.A. Live to celebrate Jennings’ newest watch with the company, the AM128SS.
MSTR, who have been partners with Jennings since his rookie year, have collaborated on two successful timepieces from the Prodigy line (MSTR’s lifestyle watch) while his days in Milwaukee.
For their third and final project together, Jennings was given the opportunity to design his own watch in which he went with the Ambassador—a more upscale timepiece from the company—and chose a rose gold colorway with a hint of red to illuminate the all gold dialface.
“It feels great. I feel like a watch is a man’s best friend. We love to wear watches and we take pride into how the watch feels, and you know, what’s the material,” Jennings said. “This year I wanted to go with an all gold watch and wanted the hands on the watch to be red because I’m really into gold right now.”
A homecoming for the Los Angeles native, about 100 of Jennings’ closest friends, family and teammates came out to enjoy the night with some bowling and got a first look at the watch before its official release.
“I just wanted to make sure mine was definitely different and very unique. You know, for it to just fit my style,” Jennings also said when asked about the beginning stages of the designing process.
Each Ambassador is limited to 150 and each piece is individually numbered. The AM128SS is available for purchase now.
