Doc Rivers Fined $25,000 for Criticizing Refs After Game 2

The NBA has docked $25K from Doc Rivers’ bank account — Rivers was fined for ranting against the referees following the Celtics’ Game 2 loss in New York (Doc called the calls that went against Kevin Garnett “horrendous”.) Here’s the press release: “Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of officiating, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations. Rivers made his comments in the postgame press conference following the Celtics’ 87-71 loss to the New York Knicks on April 23 at Madison Square Garden.”
