The surgically-repaired left knee belonging to Iman Shumpert kept the forward out of today’s practice. Shumpert, averaging 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds for New York in their second round Playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, is the third Knick to miss practice in the last two days. Per the NY Daily News: “J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin also were held out with the flu. The status of all three players for Game 4 on Tuesday is unclear although Smith and Martin are expected to play. Shumpert’s injury is a concern because he had major knee surgery last May and didn’t make his season debut until Jan. 17. The second-year small forward has also been one of the Knicks top players this postseason, especially on the defensive end. Shumpert landed awkwardly on left foot after being fouled by George Hill in the fourth quarter of the Pacers 82-71 Game 3 victory.”
