Kevin Durant: Serge Ibaka Trade a ‘Good Move’

Free agent superstar Kevin Durant addressed the OKC Thunder’s recent trade of reportedly disgruntled big man Serge Ibaka, and gave the move a thumbs-up.

Durant says he likes what the Thunder got in return for Ibaka.

The 27-year-old remains tight-lipped on his free agency plans.

Per The Oklahoman:

Durant was predictably mum on his impending free agency — “We’ll figure things out, it’s three days away,” he told reporters — but KD did give his opinion on the Thunder’s most recent transaction.

On draft night, OKC traded Serge Ibaka to the Orlando Magic for D.C. native Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and the draft rights of Domantas Sabonis.

“It’s a good move,” Durant told reporters. “I like Oladipo. He’s a good buddy, a friend of mine, and I’m definitely going to miss playing with Serge. He contributed so much to our organization and to the city, and he’s a pioneer for what he’s done for us and it’s always going to be remembered in OKC what he’s done for the community and his hard work on the court, so we wish him the best.”
