New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets Bidding to Host 2015 NBA All-Star Game

The 2015 All-Star Game could be played either in Manhattan and Brooklyn are two potential destinations for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. New York’s two NBA teams, along with several others, have submitted bids to host the extravaganza. The League has yet to make a decision (next year’s ASG will be played in New Orleans.) Per the NY Daily News: “NBA officials say New York’s two teams are among several cities to have formally submitted bids to host All-Star weekend in two years. According to the NBA, no decision has been made on where the game will be played, and there will be no announcement on the winner this weekend. The Knicks last hosted All-Star weekend in 1998, while the only time the game was hosted by the Nets was in 1982 at the Meadowlands. The Garden spent nearly $1 billion to renovate the World’s Most Famous Arena, in hopes that it will be able to land the NBA’s midseason showcase event. But Brooklyn also wants the game to be played in its new Barclays Center.”
