Police Investigating Fight Involving Scottie Pippen

The authorities are investigating a Sunday night battle between Scottie Pippen and another Malibu restaurant patron (who ended up in the hospital), and they say that charges may follow. Per the Chicago Tribune: “Pippen had been at the Nobu Malibu restaurant on the Pacific Coast Highway when a fight broke out between him and the man around 6:30 p.m., said Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County sheriff’s office. Witnesses told police that Pippen got into an argument with the man in the parking lot of the restaurant near a valet stand, Whitmore said. […] ‘Charges could follow, we don’t know,’ he said. ‘We have to investigate and check with all the witnesses and find out exactly what happened.’ Employees at the restaurant said they did not have any information about the fight. Chicago Bulls officials said it would be premature to comment on the incident. Pippen serves as special advisor to Bulls’ president and chief operating officer Michael Reinsdorf.”
