Having attended UCLA, Kevin Love’s name has always been attached to rumors involving the Los Angeles.

The rumors persist despite the All-Star forward never having shown a particular desire to join the Purple and Gold.

Buried in a Bulls.com piece (via Lakers Nation), is speculation that Love will be tempted to sign with the LakeShow once he opts out of his current deal next summer.

When the Cleveland Cavaliers swung the blockbuster trade to acquire Love, word on the street was that both sides had reached a handshake agreement on a five-year, $120 million-plus extension:

It’s not going to get as much discussion during the season, but one of the biggest issues for the Cavs is that both LeBron James and Kevin Love own opt outs after this season.

 

LeBron James basically cannot afford to go anywhere after his return to Cleveland. But watch out for Love. Indications are he will seriously consider the opt out and has his eyes on a return to Los Angeles, where he attended college and where the Lakers long have had him on their free agent wish list …
