Atlanta native Rich Homie Quan is one of the hottest rappers out, so while he was in New York City earlier today he stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to do an interview with our man Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee. It’s an interesting chat, mostly touching on Quan’s relationships with the likes of Young Thug, Birdman and Lil’ Wayne, and much more. But the part that will stand out to basketball fans is his brief mention of the Atlanta Hawks.

Skip ahead to the 29:15 mark—after a joke about his baby’s mother potentially hooking up with some Hawks players, RHQ and CTG had this exchange:

Quan: “It’s already over, though, the Cavs taking it all.”

Charlamagne: “Dang, you ain’t rooting for your home team, bruh?”

Quan: “I’m from Atlanta man, but come on, we know—that’s the GOAT.”

The GOAT, of course, is a reference to LeBron James. Rich Homie adds that he wouldn’t mind checking out a game, but that he thinks even the city of Atlanta is resigned to an Eastern Conference Finals loss.
