An off-the-cuff remark on Twitter by Daryl Morey had the Houston Rockets general manager backtracking Thursday.
Morey, in response to a question on the social media site Wednesday, jokingly compared his job to that of a gynecologist.
Morey says that from now on, he’ll leave the mildly risqué jokes to the pros.
Per the Houston Chronicle:
During an interview about the NBA Development League showcase he is attending, Morey addressed the backlash to his tweet during a question-and-answer session he did on Twitter while on his way to the event in Santa Cruz, Calif.
“I had a tweet that was in bad taste,” Morey said. “I’m going to leave the comedy to the professionals. I think I’m going to stick with my GM job.”
Morey did not comment when asked if he had been admonished in any way by the NBA for his joke.
